What We Do
Black Tie Catering is a full-service catering company in Albuquerque NM. Founded in 2003 we cater business, personal, and faith-based/non-profit events ranging from 15-800 people. We take pride that most of our business is word-of-mouth from happy clients.

Black Tie is proud to provide professional, clean, and attractive presentation in our food, our serving presentation, and in our staff.
Protocol
Your menu selections will be set approximately 20 minutes prior to serving time. Your menu selections will arrive on garnished trays and/or chafers with all of the serving utensils. Disposable trays are available for a nominal fee if you elect to have a less formal event.
Let us know of your event's decorating theme so we can provide appropriate presentation and staff attire.
Rental equipment is available. We can provide pricing for china, flatware, glasses, linens, tables, chairs, etc.
All pricing is guaranteed for 30 days. Any substitutions or additions will affect the price per person. Prior to your event you will receive a final invoice with your event details.
The Black Tie Guy
As a young man in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jerry Gallegos worked in the casino and restaurant industry. He had the opportunity to learn from chefs, managers, and food and beverage directors, and other professionals in the industry. He moved to Albuquerque, NM and became the Banquet Service Manager for the Albuquerque Inn/Convention Center and then was hired as the Food and Beverage Manager for the Sheraton Old Town.
But this restaurateur had a dream to be a Police Officer. He went to the Police Academy and enjoyed 20 years of service to the City of Albuquerque. When he retired, Jerry returned to his first love in the food industry and started Black Tie Catering in 2003.
Today, Jerry and his staff provide personal and business catering in the Albuquerque area. He works from a commercial kitchen at the South Valley Economic Development Center.
In April 2011, Black Tie Catering was ranked as #12 caterer in the state of New Mexico in New Mexico Business Weekly 21 Catering Companies listing.
